FRANCESCO LO CASCIO
Our founder Francesco Lo Cascio plays an active role within the school. Born in Italy, today Francesco lives and works in London and is dedicated to the next generation of makeup artists.
Francesco studied makeup artistry himself in London, before going on to have a creative, varied and highly successful career in the industry. Working as a freelance makeup artist, Francesco has worked for the likes of the BBC, Abbey Road Studios, MTV and Party in the Park. His editorial work has seen him create makeup looks for Vogue, Marie Claire and the Daily Telegraph. Francesco’s talents has also secured him celebrity clients, including Kate Moss, Christy Turlington, Eva Herzigova, Lydia Hurst, Destiny’s Child, Isabella Blow, Asia Argento, LeAnne Rimes, the Sugarbabes and Jamiroquai.
Award winning make-up artist Aga Borowa boasts 21 years in the industry. During that time Aga has earned herself an extraordinary reputation for her work. Awarded Top Makeup Artist by London Bride Magazine, Aga is well known for her work as a tutor at the London College of Fashion. She is also known for her work in beauty on television and various publications. Aga prides herself on her knowledge of bridal makeup and her professional approach to each and every unique client. Her favourite brands include M.A.C, Laura Mercier and Dermalogica.
With 20 years’ experience in the industry, Yannick is a Swiss makeup artist who’s career has taken him around the globe. His work include international makeup artist for NARS which has taken him to far flung locations, including Japan, Spain, Australia, Portugal, France and many more. Yannick’s fashion and editorial work has led him to work with some of the most prestigious fashion brands, including Dior, Prada, Vivienne Westwood, Topshop, Selfridges, Swatch and Jaeger LeCoultre. His work has also taken him to work with hair and beauty brands such as L’Oreal and Toni&Guy. In addition Yannick has also worked for Arise magazine, Unfashion magazine, The Designer Wedding Show and Salon International da la Haute Horlogerie.
Starting her career by training at London Muse, Maria Mckenna’s work has taken her through a wide variety of makeup artistry. With a focus on advertorials and campaigns, Maria has contributed to major productions for the likes of Avon, Matalan, Fiat and Miu Miu. Maria also has editorial experience, having her work published in a variety of magazines, including Slave, Vice, Nakid, TWO and Dreamingless, Risbel, Wylde (including 6 covers).
